Stephen McFarlane is qualified as a Chartered Accountant and Certified Financial Planner, and a founding principal of One to One.
He has been providing clients throughout the Central South Island with practical financial advice for over 20 years. Advice designed to improve a clients financial situation and in doing so their lifestyle choices.
Stephen notes that his particular passion is understanding what makes a business or personal situation tick and then utilising One to One resources to improve a client’s outcome. He notes that often the application of some relatively simple planning concepts can make a significant difference to client’s outcomes.
His day to day motivation is being able to assist clients towards financial independence and choice in life by providing services that first of all protect and then grow their personal and business situations. Stephen feels there is no bigger buzz than when a client has achieved a goal or outcome that they are pleased with and which they wouldn’t have done without One to One’s involvement.
He has published in excess of 520 articles on business and financial topics over the last decade, and authors the One to One Blog. He has a strong community interest and is currently an independent director of the South Canterbury Rugby Union.

Tracy is a founding principal of One to One. She is responsible for our business consulting services and is also the general manager for One to One Group. She is particularly experienced in governance, strategic development and business planning in the SME (small to medium enterprise) business market.
Her strong belief is that most successful business owners have a clear vision of what they want to achieve, take a systematic approach to achieving it and recognise the value of having outside expertise on board.
Tracy takes a keen interest in her three children’s activities and has supported these by lending her skills to a range of organisations including being a board member of Soccersouth, primary school representative on the local Ministry of Education project – Joint Schools Initiative Fund, and chairperson of Waimataitai Primary School Board of Trustees.
Tracy has completed a Bachelor of Applied Management majoring in Strategic Management. Extramural study undertaken as part of her commitment to on-going professional development and to complement her business based experience.

Glenn is a Director of One to One Accounting Limited and a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants. He joined Stephen and Tracy in 2004 as the manager of the accounting team.
Glenn’s 20 years of experience in chartered accountancy has ranged from compliance and taxation services, provision of monthly management reporting and temporary roles as on site accountant for larger organisations as they have transitioned between employees.
His focus is to assist business owners become more profitable whilst at the same time providing quality, meaningful and timely financial information that also ensures clients meet their tax and other obligations.
Away from work Glenn is enjoying the challenge of being a new parent. He also has a wide range of sporting interests playing soccer, tennis and golf. He has been involved in sports administration at club and association level as well as enjoying ten years as a coach of junior soccer.

Wilhelmina comes to the financial planning profession after working for 20 years as a research economist, university lecturer, tax consultant and small business owner. Through these experiences she has discovered her real passion of working with people to improve their financial knowledge and outcomes is closely aligned to One to One’s philosophy of continuously seeking to add value to a clients situation within a structure of expertise and trusted advisor relationship.
Wilhelmina’s work as an economist made her realise that there is a need to carry out thorough analysis of different options to assist clients make informed choices in life.
Wilhelmina has a strong rural background and currently lives in Fairlie with her partner and 6 year old son. The family moved to South Canterbury from Auckland six years ago in search of a better lifestyle. Skiing, mountain biking, rivers and lakes are all within easy reach – it’s a location that many abroad can only dream of.
Wilhelmina is currently working through the Graduate Diploma in Business Studies (Personal Financial Planning) and is a Provisional Member of the Institute of Financial Advisors.
